Marrakech’s Medina is a UNESCO World Heritage old city — a dense maze of souks, workshops, and squares that has been the commercial heart of the city for nearly a thousand years. Within it lies the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter established in the 16th century, once home to a thriving Jewish community and still marked by its own gates, synagogues, and distinct street layout.
